Dixon joins Remara following stints with boutique firms Innova Asset Management and Koa Capital, and will be tasked with supporting the further expansion of Remara’s investment offerings and industry partnerships.

Australian alternative asset manager Remara has announced the appointment of Ben Dixon as its inaugural Head of Distribution. As Remara seeks to continue its trajectory of high growth, Dixon is tasked with further developing strategic relationships on behalf of Remara across financial advice and wealth management to fuel business development as the organisation plans to add to its current suite of investment offerings.

Dixon, formerly Head of Distribution with boutique firms Innova Asset Management and Koa Capital, brings deep experience to the position, having led the roll-out of a series of investment offerings to both new and existing clients at both firms. The news of Ben’s appointment comes as Remara confirms plans to further grow its market share of the credit market as it aims to secure in excess of $1bn in AUM by the end of 2024.

Andrew McVeigh, Remara’s Managing Partner, commented on the news saying: “It’s an exciting time for Remara. We’ve delivered consistent portfolio growth for our investors since our inception, and we’re set to embark on a new phase of growth. Having someone with Ben’s passion and experience on the team tasked with further driving that growth is a win for our business.”

“Ben has proven experience growing a committed investor base for asset management firms like Remara. I look forward to working closely with Ben to build out Remara’s representation amongst planners and advisers as we get closer to launching more innovative investment opportunities for investors.”

Remara Investment Management is an established Australian-based private credit asset management firm managing in excess of $850 million across three key asset areas – private credit, real estate, and tactical opportunities. Remara has achieved annualised returns of 13.60%* via its flagship private credit income fund and has funded in excess of $2.9 billion in deals since its inception in 2019.

Commenting on his appointment as Head of Distribution, Ben Dixon said: “I’m looking forward to helping Remara achieve its ambition of being Australia’s most trusted and successful credit investment platform. Assisting the business in furthering its already established presence in the market is exciting, and launching new products to provide investors with the opportunity to experience positive outcomes right across the credit investment landscape is something that drew me to Remara. This is an asset class that is experiencing rapid growth, and for good reason. Having the opportunity to work with such a trusted and highly experienced team to lead that growth in Australia is one I am excited about.”

Ben joined Remara in January 2024 and will be based in Sydney.
