Recognised in the Private Debt/Credit category

Remara is pleased to share that the Remara Credit Income Fund has been named Highly Commended in the Private Debt/Credit category at the 2026 Financial Newswire Fund Manager of the Year Awards. Independent research house SQM Research assessed the category.

The recognition places the Remara Credit Income Fund among Australia’s top-performing private credit funds on a risk-adjusted basis, benchmarked against a starting universe of more than 10,000 active funds.

Thank you to Financial Newswire and SQM Research for the recognition, and congratulations to every fund manager acknowledged on the night.

How SQM Research judged the awards

SQM Research independently assessed the 2026 awards. Analysts collated performance data on more than 10,000 active funds, with data taken through to 31 May 2026.

SQM Research then sorted funds on an equal-weighted combination of two measures:

  • Three-year annualised net returns
  • Three-year Sharpe ratios (risk-adjusted returns)

Category finalists came from the top ten funds, ranked by the best Sharpe ratio. Downside capture and total return also fed into the final decision.
